Starway World Best Hotels awards found their recipients

The "Starway World Best Hotels" awards, which are traditionally given by Coral Travel every year, found their recipients. Maxx Royal Kemer Resort won the first place in the ranking determined in line with customer satisfaction surveys. Blue Waters Club took second place, while NG Phaselis Bay took third place.
Coral Travel Starway World Best Hotels 2024 Award Ceremony took place on March 4 in Berlin. At the ceremony, awards were given in three categories to hotels from all over the world, which were ranked in line with customer satisfaction surveys. In the Top 100 World Best Hotels category, the world's best hotels with the highest scores in all criteria were awarded, while "Child and Family Friendly Hotels" with the best activities for children and families, and "Environmentally Friendly Hotels" that make high efforts to protect nature with their physical spaces and environmentally friendly practices also received their awards.
23 countries, 38 companies, 6,000 employees
Coral Travel Starway World Best Hotels 2024 Award Ceremony started with the speech of Koray Çavdır, Vice President of Coral Travel Group responsible for the Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region.
In the first part of his speech, Çavdır gave general information about Coral Travel Group. Stating that Coral Travel Group, which operates in 23 countries with 38 companies and 6,000 employees in the tour operator, destination management, bed bank, accommodation, technology and security sectors, serves approximately 3.5 million tourists annually, Çavdır said that the number of tourists served in the 33 years since the establishment of the Group has reached 35 million.
Serving approximately 3.5 million tourists in 2024
The Group, which provides services in the field of tour operations in 15 countries with Coral Travel and its second brand Ferien Touristik in Germany, served approximately 3.5 million tourists in 2024. Serving a total of 2.72 million tourists in 2023, the Group managed to increase the number of tourists by 26.4%.
25% growth in Europe
Of this figure, 2 million came from the 10 source markets in which the Group operates in Europe. The Group's European tour operator activities, which started in Poland, continued with the opening of Germany, Austria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Romania in 2023. With the start of organized holiday sales in the Netherlands, a total of 10 countries in Europe were reached. Serving 1.6 million European tourists in 2023, Coral Travel achieved 25% growth in the European market.

2025 goals
Coral Travel Group aims to increase the number of tourists served to over 4 million in 2025 and to reach 2.3 million tourists in European markets.
The Group's capacity planning for 2025 is as follows:
· Turkey: 1.9 million
· Egypt: 850 thousand
· Greece: 200 thousand
· United Arab Emirates: 200 thousand
· Spain: 200 thousand
· Tunisia: 80 thousand
· Thailand: 70 thousand
Continuing its operations in 90 destinations in 40 countries, the Group aims to increase the number of tourists it serves by 19%.
In the second part of his speech, Çavdır talked about the developments in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands) region that are under his responsibility. He emphasized that by leveraging the know-how and strength of the Coral Travel/Ferien Touristik brands, the organization in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland has been completed in a way that it can respond to all kinds of vacation demands by acquiring professionally trained human resources. He highlighted that the goal of reaching 1 million tourists and 1 billion euros in revenue in the medium term would be achieved by the end of this year, which is one year ahead of the planned timeline.
Ayhan Bektaş, Chairman of the Board of Coral Travel Group, also made a speech at the ceremony. "While adapting to changing conditions with innovative products and services, we continue to grow by adhering to the principle of sustainable tourism, which is one of the most important principles of our Group," said Bektaş, emphasizing the importance they attach to digital transformation, human resources and quality as a Group.
World Tourism Organization Ambassador Dr. Michael Frenzel and World Travel and Tourism Council President and CEO Julia Simpson also delivered speeches at the ceremony.

Awards were given in three categories
After the speeches, the "Coral Travel Starway World Best Hotels 2024" award ceremony was held. At the ceremony, awards were given in three categories to hotels from all over the world, which were ranked in line with customer satisfaction surveys collected from 6321 hotels in 25 destinations between January 1 and December 31, 2024. As a result of these surveys, in which Coral Travel customers evaluated the staff, room and hotel conditions, food and beverage, environmental awareness, garden and pool conditions, cleanliness, children's areas, entertainment and sports activities in the hotels, the rankings were determined regardless of the stars the hotels have.
Top 100 World Best Hotels
The top three hotels in the Top 100 World Best Hotels category came from Turkey. Maxx Royal Kemer Resort won the first place. Blue Waters Club took second place, while NG Phaselis Bay took third place.
58 of the top 100 facilities were from Turkey, 14 from Egypt, 9 from Greece, 7 from Spain, 5 from the United Arab Emirates, 3 from Thailand, 2 from Tunisia, 1 from Montenegro and 1 from the Maldives.
Child and Family Friendly Hotels
Blue Waters Club took first place in the "Child and Family Friendly Hotels" category, which has the best activities for children and families. Delphin Be Grand Resort took second place, while Royal Wings Hotel took third place.
Environmentally Friendly Hotels
In the Environmentally Friendly Hotels category, where hotels that make great efforts to protect nature with their physical spaces and environmentally friendly practices are rewarded, the first place went to Maxx Royal Kemer Resort. Rixos Premium Tekirova ranked second and Liberty Hotels Lykia ranked third.
25 hotels each received awards in the categories of Child and Family Friendly Hotels and Environmentally Friendly Hotels.
